OSMA Nickel Project

The Osma Nickel project is initiated based on recent studies revealing lateritic formations containing Nickel within Hematitic-style iron mines historically produced and marketed, especially as cement raw material. The project focuses on the production of Nickel with higher added value. The Osma Nickel project is a Nickel production and exploration project located within the Kızıldağ ophiolite in the southern neotectonic closure zone, where limonitic, hematitic, and hydrothermal Nickel formations are formed.

OSMA Chrome Project

The Kızıldağ ophiolite belt, extending through Hatay-Malatya provinces, is a geological structure where Nickel and Chrome formations are observed. Within Amanos Inc.’s licensed areas, there are many mines from previous periods that are unauthorized and not based on modern techniques. The detected chromites in the field are in the form of thin veins and have a high chrome content of %44 Cr2O3. The Chrome project is currently in the exploration phase and continues to be developed.

OSMA Iron Project

Hematitic formations, particularly found in the Kızılyüce region, contain a significant amount of iron ore. During the production of Nickel, Hematite, closely associated with Nickel ore, tends to turn into slag material. Technological and mineralogical studies are ongoing for the produced iron.

Osma; Nickel, Chrome, and Iron projects are among the projects carried out by Amanos Mining Inc. in the licensed areas based in Osmaniye.
